Little Stone Mountain Baptist Church will be having a singing on Jan. 29 at 11 a.m., followed by a meal in the fellowship hall. Pastor Sammy Taylor invites everyone to worship with them.

Bobby Trott will be preaching at Garden Creek Baptist Church, on Feb 5 at 9 a.m., weather permitting. If the Stone Mountain State Park should be closed for bad weather, there will be no service.

New books available to check out at Traphill Branch Library include “ Noah: Man of Destiny” by Tim Chaffey & K. Marie Adams, “Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlanta” by Anne Rice, “Quilting For Busy Boomers” edited by Jeanne Stauffer & Sandra L Hatch, “Give Please a Chance” by Bill O’Reilly, “If I Run” by Terri Blackstock, “The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill” by Julie Klassen, “Keys of Heaven: A Healing Grace Novel” by Adina Senft, and “Night School” by Lee Child.

Traphill Branch Library has a Facebook page and you can check there about what’s happening at the library. For unexpected closings, librarian Brittney Barbour posts there about it.

Get well wishes go to Boyd Cleary, who has a bad hand injury.

Happy birthday wishes go to Amanda Johnson Severt, Crystal Billings and Jackie Pruitt on Jan. 24; Jacob Johnston on Jan. 25; Brian McDaniel and Ashley Holcomb on Jan. 28; and Chase Wood, Lucy Cothren, Neil Cothren, Patricia Sidden, Angela Holbrook, Hardin Collins, Lora Nicole Kennedy and Daylon Finger on Jan. 29.

Happy anniversary wishes go to John and April Kennedy Bentley, who celebrate their 27th anniversary on Jan. 26; and Rita and Bobby Holbrook, who celebrate their 24th anniversary on Jan. 29.

Traphill had a low temperature of 34.5 degrees on Jan. 19 and a high temperature of 73.4 degrees on Jan. 18. There was .9 inch of rain in Traphill during the week of Jan. 16-22.
