DOBSON — Surry Community College held its annual Fall Student Art Show featuring work from Surry students enrolled in fall classes including 2-D Design, Drawing I, Digital Photography and Ceramics classes. A reception was held Nov. 29 to honor the student artists in the Grand Hall of the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture & Enology, 630 S. Main St., Dobson.

Community members attended the show and interacted with the student artists to discuss their work. All artwork will remain in the Grand Hall for additional viewing during the college’s regular operating hours through January.

Surry students enrolled in spring art classes will be exhibiting their work in conjunction with the SCC Sights, Sounds and Verse Exhibition and Concert on April 13, 2017. The exhibition will run from 5 to 6 p.m. and the following concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.
