Minnie V. Bryant, age 88 of Jonesville passed away on January 12, 2013 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bryant was born in Yadkin County on September 15, 1924 to the late Roscoe “Toby”and Rachel Swaim Benton.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Junior Bryant; children, Brenda Bryant, Rufus Monroe Bryant, Jackie Bryant, Timothy Bryant; brothers, Everett Benton, Clint Benton, Fairris Benton; Parks Benton; sisters, Pearl Wagoner, Jane Wagoner, Maxine Lineberry, Ollie Couch, Ellen Macemore, Ruth Crissman, Corie Vestal, Annie Macemore, Nina Benton; son-in-law, James Ora Sparks.

Mrs Bryant is survived by three children, Steve W. Bryant and Debbie of Jonesville, Teresa B. Sparks Couch and husband Randall of Jonesville, Jeffery Dean Bryant and Melissa of Jonesville; grandchildren, Stephanie Buelin, Shannon Brooks, Bradley Sparks, Lauren Bryant; great grandchildren, Miranda Buelin, Amber Buelin, Ciara Burelin, Kaileigh Buelin; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Arlington First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Church and Pastor Jerry Fugate officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m.
