Mr. Marvin Ray Richard Reynolds, age 64, of Muncus Road in Jonesville, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Surry County on Feb. 4, 1945 to the late William Rufus and Stella Johnson Reynolds.
He was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers; R.J. and Kenneth Reynolds; and a sister, Leona Burcham.
He is survived by four brothers, Ed Reynolds and wife, Priscilla, of Elkin, Howard Reynolds and wife, Ruby, of Ronda, Joe Reynolds and wife, Betty, of Ronda, and Paul Reynolds and wife, Sharon, of North Wilkesboro; two sisters, Vesta Martin of Hickory, and Velda Martin and husband, Jimmy, of Jonesville; and several loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held today, April 27 at 2 p.m., Little Elkin Baptist Church, by the Rev. Gwyn Anderson and the Rev. Wayne Adams.
Mr. Reynolds will lie in state from 1:30 - 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The Reynolds family received friends Sunday, April 26 at Johnson Funeral Home in Elkin.
