Lee Money

The Rev. Lee Money, age 62, of Pinnacle, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2009.
He was born Sept. 3, 1946 in Surry County to the late Delma Leo and Evelyn Brown Money.
He served as a minister in the United Methodist Church for 20 years.
It was his honor to serve Beulah, Mount Zion, Mount Herman and Hatchers Chapel in Surry County; Bethel in Rural Hall; West End in Thomasville; Wesley Chapel in Misenheimer; Pisgah in Kernersville, and Bethlehem in Statesville.
The Rev. Money graduated from Elkin High School in 1964, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1967.
He graduated from Winston-Salem State University, and earned a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University.
He was a classic car enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time relaxing at the beach.
He loved to make people smile and laugh with his jokes. The
The Rev. Money had a deep love for God, and his passion was to lead men, women, boys and girls to Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Allgood Money; one sister, Carol Money Hall; three nieces; and two grand-nephews, all whom he adored.
The Rev. Money was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Kimberly Money Harrison, who was the sparkle in his eyes.
Funeral service will be held today, April 13 at 11 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church in Pinnacle, with the Rev. Amy L. Coles, and Chaplin Randy Hillman conducting the service.
Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family received family and friends from at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain on Sunday, April 12.
