BB&T has promoted Travis Wilmoth to vice president. Wilmoth, who joined the bank in 2002, is the city executive for BB&T’s Elkin office at 1661 N. Bridge St.

The Elkin native earned his bachelor’s degree in health, physical education and recreation and a minor in business administration from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
