The Elkin Library Board of Trustees has a volunteer opening for a three -year term.

Applicants must be available to meet on the 4th Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in January, March, May, September, and November (third Thursday).

The Elkin Planning Board/Board of Adjustment is seeking a volunteer residing in the ETJ (Extra Territorial Jurisdiction), a one-mile buffer area just outside of Elkin, serving the completion of an expired term. The board meets every last Monday of the month at Town Hall.

“All you have to do is visit the town website and print an application,” said George Crater, planning director for town. “I’m also here to help and those interested can contact me at 794-6467.”
