Mr. Clarence Cecil Wells, age 66, of Grassy Fork Road, Elkin, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at the home of his brother. Mr. Wells was born July 24, 1946 in Wilkes County to Robert Lee and Etta Hamby Wells. He was of the Christian Faith. Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Wells; and two brothers, Derek “Ricky” Elliott and James Bruce Wells.


Surviving are his mother, Etta H. Wells of Elkin; three brothers, Paul M. Wells and wife Shirley of Elkin, David Wells of Elkin, Robert M. Wells of Beaumont, Texas; six sisters, Sandra Day of North Wilkesboro, Etta Sue Worley of Huntersville, Joyce Stoermer and husband Bob of Orlando, Florida, Reba Wells of Elkin, Kay Gorman and husband Dick of Annapolis, Maryland; June Lester and husband Ralph of Roaring Gap; loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.


Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 o’clock Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Miller Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Stony Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 12:00 until 1:00 o’clock on Tuesday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
