Mrs. Mary Gentry Money, age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. Mrs. Money was born December 28, 1927 in Surry County to Burdette & Stella Newman Gentry.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Money was preceded in death by her husband, Edworth Money and brothers, Joseph Gentry and Tom Gentry.

Survivors include: her son, Ed Worth Money and wife Evelyn of State Road; brother, J. B. Gentry and wife Carol of Texas; sister, Betty Holbrook and husband Bill of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Eddie Dwayne Money, Christopher Day, Lisa Dunn, Jacqueline Williams and Jonathan Billings; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Kenny Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
