Rheo Martin Mastin 94, passed away Tuesday the 9th of October at

the residence of her son Fred and wife Anita Mastin

She was born September 5, 1918 in Ronda, North Carolina to James Tildon and

Rhoda Mathis Martin.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 56 years, Robert Fred Mastin;

Sisters, Verna M. Binkley, Hazel M. Mathis, Minnie M. Simpson; Brothers,

Ralph, Richard, James and Ben Martin.

Surviving are 2 sons, Fred and Ben Mastin. Grandchildren, David Mastin and

Holly (Shane) Watson. Great grandchildren Ethan Mastin, Robin and Matthew

Watson.

Interment will be at 10:00 a.m Thursday October 12 at Crestwood Memorial

Gardens with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 at First Baptist Church

Elkin by Dr Rick Bennett and Dr Bill Johnson. The family will receive

friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to be made to First Baptist

Church Elkin or Mountain Valley Hospice.

She leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered and embraced by all that

knew her.

A special thank you to her caregiver Anita Mastin, Hugh Chatham Memorial

Hospital, Hugh Chatham Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy and Mountain

Valley Hospice.

John Kennedy Funeral director is assisting the Mastin family.
