Mr. Buel “Buck” Goodwin Gambill, Jr., 90, of Moravian Falls died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Funeral services was held Saturday 11:00 a.m., Sept. 29, 2012, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Danny Dodds officiating. Burial with military honors by Post #1142 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Gambill was born March 31, 1922 in Wilkes County to Buel, Sr. and Nina Joines Gambill. He was owner/partner of Northwestern Construction. Mr. served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Brown and Marie McNeil and a brother, George Gambill.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary June Bishop Gambill of the home; two sons, Jerome Gambill and wife, Jennifer of Elkin, David Paul Gambill of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren, Gracie Gambill, Lily Gambill, Sherman Gambill; four brothers, Hobert Gambill and wife, Pat, Robert Gambill and wife Willa, Clayton Gambill and wife, Anna all of North Wilkesboro, Russell Gambill and wife, Skip of Millers Creek.
