There’s still plenty of time to enter you pet in The Tribune’s annual Cutest Pets contest.

Voting begins on Monday, and entries will be accepted until Sept. 29.

If you don’t have a cat or a dog, you may still be able to enter a pet. Even pot-bellied pigs, horses, ducks, ferrets, chinchillas, snakes and ferrets can win. There’s no guarantee that a snake would ever beat a puppy a in a “cute” contest of any kind, but the entry could still be fun.

Pet owners can submit their photos by going to The Tribune’s website at www.elkintribune.com and click on the “Cutest Pets” link to the right.

Entries will be accepted through Saturday, Sept. 29, but owners who enter their pets before Sept. 17 will have a head start.

A $250 prize will be awarded to the overall winner, thanks to the sponsorship of Animal Ark.

Voting ends Sept. 30, and the winner will be announced the following week in The Tribune.
