The Elkin Jaycees approved their new bylaws at their general membership meeting on Monday.
The group members tried searching for past bylaws and only found ones that were long outdated.
“We searched the the Jaycee building and found bylaws written by Joe Walker from the 1980s that described it as a ‘men’s group,’” said Elkin Jaycees President Brandi Walker Hall. “Joe has helped us rewrite the bylaws and we are happy to have them completed.”
