Grace Caudill Lyon

Mrs. Grace Caudill Lyon, 90, resident of Colfax, godly wife and mother for over 60 years, died July 24th, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Lyon was born May 22, 1922, in Wilkes County, a daughter to the late Lee and Kisiah Spicer Caudill. A resident of the Colfax area since 1959, she was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Northwest Gideon Camp Women’s Auxiliary. On October 27th, 1951 she married Joseph Lyon who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sherry Burton and husband Reuben of Durham and Rita Greene and husband Jerry of Bahama; a son, Joey Lyon and wife Terrie of Colfax; a brother, Bryce Caudill and wife Bertha of Roaring River; eight grandchildren, Reuben Burton Jr. and wife Susan, Jeremy Greene and wife Kelly, Cliff Burton and wife Jennifer, Joey Lyon Jr. and wife Shelly, Angel Fox and husband Tony, Jacob Lyon and wife Courtney, Joshua Lyon and wife Candice and Erin Lyon; and sixteen great grandchildren, Isabella, Colton, Savannah, Connor, Austin, Parker, Lincoln, Alora, Madison, Caitlin, Weston, Lydia, Hannah, Henson, Clifford and Caroline.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in High Point with Rev. Casey Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at State Rd. Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery outside of Elkin, NC. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
