Last week 16 children went to Princess Camp to learn how to be royal.

However, the girls weren’t just taught how to fold their napkins, serve food and curtsy.

The camp is part of Royal Purpose Ministries and is called Princess with a Purpose. Not only does it teach royal etiquette but will explore scripture and their relationship with god.

“Little girls love princesses and all the magic of it,”said owner of Graceful Steps Dance Academy, Amy Johnson. “We want to teach them that though they were not born with royal blood, that they have a royal heritage. They are daughters of the King.”

Johnson taught the girls that being royal doesn’t mean you have to have a pretty dress, a big house or the most beautiful face, but having God in your heart.

The Princess with a Purpose Camp was part of the Graceful Steps Dance Academy that opened in March. The dance academy is held at Refuge Church off Traphill Rd.

For more information about dance classes beginning in August, contact Amy Johnson at 466-1842 or visit www.gracefulstepsdanceacademy.com
