The Ark homeless shelter will host a rummage sale Saturday from 6 a.m. until noon and a bag sale from 11 a.m. to noon, during which time shoppers can fill up a trash bag with items for $5.
The rummage sale will include an assortment of clothing, baby items, furniture, housewares, and games, with all proceeds going to The Ark.
“The items at the rummage sale are all from community donations that we’ve accumulated over time,” said Jane Motsinger, past executive director of The Ark. “Obviously, things that we receive go to the Ark guests as needed, but we get more donations than we can use, so this is our overflow of donations.”
The Ark is located at 130 Hill St. in Elkin.
