Mrs. Josephine Stonestreet Hutchinson, 90, of State Road passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

Mrs. Hutchinson was born May 5, 1922, in Surry County to Joseph Harding and Carolyn “Molly” Hamby Stonestreet.

Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hugh Hutchinson and a granddaughter, Marguerite Tysor.

Survivors include: Two daughters, Alice Barker Staples and husband Larry of State Road, Faye Baker Alexander and husband John of Roaring River, a special grandson, Shonn Ross of Charlotte, a sister, Valma Stonestreet Shepherd Sturgill of Elkin, grandchildren, Amy Hardy, Staff Sgt. Randy Staples, Frances Staples Garcia, Andrew Staples, ten Great Grand Children and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Roaring Gap Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ronnie McMillian. Burial will follow in State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm prior to the service.
