Friday morning, Marty Johnson of the DOT, installed a historical marker, remembering the Hugh Chatham Memorial Bridge that came down in February 2011.
The marker is at the top of the stairs recently finished on East Main St. The stairs were part of a DOT project to make downtown look aesthetically pleasing.
