Gamma Psi inducts new members


The Gamma Psi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International gathered for a dinner meeting in May at Starmount Middle School. New members initiated during the meeting included, from left, Patricia Rogers, retired media coordinator; Patricia Eaton, director of First Baptist Church of Elkin Playschool; Tammy Coley, sixth-grade teacher at Elkin Elementary School; Leslie Hooper, science teacher at Elkin High School; and Emily Taylor, Spanish teacher with Yadkin County Schools. Also, at the meeting a Service of Remembrance was held for the recently deceased member, Alice Shore. As is practice at each meeting, members made contributions to several of the group’s charitable efforts. At this meeting those included Schools for Africa, The ARK, and the raffle to benefit the Eva Hine Incentive Grant.
