Heavy rain postponed racing action at Friendship Motor Speedway Saturday night, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some news coming from the track.

Donald Bradsher has been declared the official winner of the Sept. 19 FUEL Racing Series event at Friendship Speedway.

Bradsher finished second in the event to Mooresville’s Donnie Chappell last Saturday. However, following post-race inspection, was awarded the victory when tire samples from competitor Donnie Chappell were analyzed by an independently-contracted laboratory and subsequently failed to meet the benchmark set forth by the tire manufacturer.

As a result and in accordance with the 2015 FUEL Racing Series rulebook, Chappell was disqualified from the Sept. 19 FUEL Racing Series event at Friendship Speedway. This gave the win to Burlington’s Bradsher.

Bradsher’s victory is his first with the CT525 series after multiple Top 3 finishes. He also becomes FUEL’s fifth different winner in 2015. In addition, all other drivers will be moved up one position accordingly in the official rundown. The FUEL Racing Series expressed thanks everyone involved for their patience and professionalism throughout the process.
