East Wilkes tennis wins through depth

RONDA — East Wilkes women’s tennis defeated Starmount Tuesday night, and it’s a testament to the team’s depth this season.

Despite the team’s No. 1 and 2 seeds losing, East Wilkes Head Coach Aaron Simmons has made it a point that his team is strong all around, and that his No. 6, 5, 4, and 3 seeds play like they’re a No. 2 or 1 seed.

East Wilkes traveled to Wilkes Central Thursday night, and at press time, the match was yet to be completed.
