It’s not every day that people get the chance to meet and work out with a Super Bowl champion. This Saturday night at Elkin High School, anyone at any age can.

Farando “Sly” Best of Midtown Barber Shop, along with I Support My Community, will be hosting a football camp Saturday at the football field at Elkin High School. The camp is open to anyone who wants to meet George Williams, who won the Super Bowl with the New York Giants, and Carlos King, a Starmount grad who went on to suit up for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos.

Best hopes that the camp enhances the community environment and sends the right message to kids.

“Education is important,” Best said. “It’s more than just football. It’s understanding that you have to have smarts to make it to the next level.”

The cost for the camp is $10, but the opportunity to meet to ex-NFL players is priceless.
