Elkin senior holds cheerleading camp

Elkin High School senior Rebecca Reece conducted a cheerleading camp for second- through eighth-graders as part of her senior project at Elkin High School on Aug. 6. The campers learned several cheers and showed off the moves they learned to their parents after the camp concluded. Proceeds from the camp went to Kira Bray, a Jonesville youth who was injured in a car accident en route to a cheer competition two years ago, and the Elkin High School cheerleading squad. The camp was held Aug. 6 at the Elkin Elementary gym. Cheer Extreme staff and EHS cheerleaders assisted with the camp.
