BOONVILLE — Starmount finished its three-day football clinic Tuesday evening, and its commitment to excellence was clear.

Kicking off on Sunday, the clinics were beneficial to both players and coaches alike. On Sunday, there was a coaches clinic geared towards helping kids improve their game while they’re still young. Monday and Tuesday, kids young and old ran over to the Starmount practice field to learn the game.

For the younger kids in kindergarten and first grade, many of them did not know going in what position would suit them best for the time being. However, as they progressed they learned the mechanics of the sport, and also got introduced to the camaraderie that can only come from being on a football team.

Kids were split up by their unique skill sets and got the chance to be on both sides of the football. Many of the kids from the Starmount football team came out to help, and are getting ready for practice to begin later this week.
