BOONVILLE — Faith Brewer, a standout athlete at Starmount High School, signed her letter of intent to run cross country at Lees-McRae on Tuesday afternoon. Brewer has been a hard working athlete and a devoted student during her time at Starmount and North Wilkes.

Brewer transferred to Starmount for her junior and senior year after completing her freshman and sophomore years at North Wilkes. This is Brewer’s first year running cross country and she would like to say that she is very blessed and wants to thank God for allowing her to have the opportunity to continue her favorite sport in college.

“I feel like it I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for such great parents and wonderful coaches. I want to thank Coach Oliver for encouraging me this past cross country season and Coach Cave for pushing me to my best potential,” said Brewer. “I am blessed to have two wonderful coaches who believed in me and help me achieve my goals above my expectations. This is something that can only be found at Starmount.”

Brewer will graduate from Starmount in the spring, then continue her athletic career in the fall.
