Annual book sale under way

As the days grow shorter and cooler, the thought of a cozy night at home by the fire with a good book begins to sound pretty good. The cost of the used books at the Friends of the Elkin Public Library annual book sale under way at the library can have books going home for $1 for hardback books, 50 cents for paperback books and 50 cents for children’s books.There are about 3,000 books of a plethora of genres from which to choose. The sale, which will run through Oct. 11, has the same hours as the library.
