New medical facility to provide ‘a choice’

With the area seeing the addition of three urgent care medical facilities within a few months — two being opened by Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital — the third, Mid-Atlantic Quick Care opening Sept. 8, is hoping to give area residents another option.Surry County native Dr. Brad Goad co-owns Mid-Atlantic Quick Care and saw the need for such a facility in his home county after finding success with a similar medical office in Galax, Virginia, where the company is headquartered.

Stolen tractor recovered
