Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 10 arrested Garrett Matthew Blevins, 20, and Luther Jefferson Blevins Jr., 23, both of Yadkinville, on charges of larceny of a firearm and obtaining property by false pretenses.
According to the release, the sheriff’s office received a report of larceny of firearms.
After further investigation, detectives discovered that five firearms were taken from the victim’s residence over a period of four months.
Detectives advised that the firearms were recovered from a local pawn shop and returned back to the victim.
The suspects were each charged with five counts of Larceny of a Firearm and five counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, according to the release. Both Garrett Blevins, and Luther Blevins, Jr. were released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
