Lots of time and effort paid off Friday as Beth Felt’s Project Management I class unveiled its newly printed book to the elementary school.

The high school class wrote and illustrated the 87-page book about Bucky, the school system’s mascot, and his friends.

The book was written to promote responsible behavior among younger children, and the students though there was no one better to represent the traits than the school system’s shared mascot, Bucky.

Twenty-two students worked on the book, culminating in its recent publication. The class in the Fall of 2012 was responsible for its content.

The school system made a three-part dedication for the book. Students from the third grade were each given a copy of the book, 85 total. One group went to a table of Felt’s students to have their books signed by the authors. Another went to have a photo taken with them and Bucky, while the third was read excerpts of the book by high school students.

Felts said the book had its own ISBN number and could be purchased on Amazon.com.
