The Yadkinville and Yadkin Valley Rotary Clubs will hold their 15th annual golf tournament Thursday.
The 2012 Johnsie Hudspeth Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit the Upper Yadkin Valley (UYV) Habitat for Humanity will start at 11:30 a.m. at Cedarbrook Country Club.
Rotary member Larry Rhoton is organizing this year’s golf tournament. As of last week, Rhoton had 25 teams registered to play, which is five more teams than last year’s turnout.
UYV Habitat for Humanity has completed 23 houses and is working on its 24th house.
“We gross around $15,000 just from this golf tournament,” said Claire Sellars, executive director of UYV Habitat for Humanity.“We very much appreciate both clubs for their many years of service, it’s amazing.”
