Yadtel Telecom celebrated in style Friday at the opening of its new branch office in Jonesville’s Foothills Market Shopping Center. The ribbon cutting was attended by many of Jonesville’s dignitaries, business representatives, and Miss Wheelchair North Carolina 2013.
Jonesville Town Council members stood in while the office staff cut the ceremonial red ribbon in front of the entrance.
The store was already busy inside on its first day. The ribbon cutters had to pause for shoppers to exit after buying items like new phones.
Visitors to the store were also able to receive free products at the opening. Raffles were held for a television, telephone, and Kindle Fire HD.
The store was previously located in the Antique Mall of the Foothills shopping center on Highway 67, across from the new Jonesville Town Hall. The move occurred earlier in the year, with the grand opening coming later.
Miss Wheelchair North Carolina also stopped in for the ceremony. Ashley Macemore was crowned Miss Wheelchair 2013 and is a resident of Jonesville. She was interviewed for local news Channel 7.
Macemore is currently raising money to attend the national Miss Wheelchair competition in Texas.
