Elkin’s Time Warner Cable pay center will close on July 27.
“More and more customers are using other options to meeting their billing needs by paying online or using automatic drafting from their accounts,” said Time Warner Cable communications spokesperson Scott Pryzwansky. “It’s a sign of the time in terms of how customers are interacting in all fields on how they pay their bills.”
Customers were alerted that the location on East Main Street was closing on their last Time Warner bill.
“This will have no effect as far as customer service or setting up Internet and television in their homes,” Pryzwansky said. “We will still be serving the community.”
Time Warner Cable has secured two potential locations where payments can be received and equipment can be returned but has not yet announced what they will be, he said. Customers can also visit the pay center at 133 Rockford St., Suite 200 in Mount Airy.
Time Warner Cable came to downtown Elkin in August 2006, after absorbing Adelphia.
