Trinity Christian Center is sponsoring a chicken dinner fundraiser for local teenager and cancer survivor, Anna Hicks, on Saturday from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
The port-a-pit chicken dinner will be held at Main Street Learning Place at 217 E. Main Street in Elkin. Cost of a plate is $9, and proceeds will go to the Hicks family of Hamptonville.
“Anna is a teenager in our church who had a brain tumor and has undergone surgery, which also left her legally blind,” said Deborah Cox, wife of Trinity Christian Center’s pastor. “We are doing this fundraiser to help her family offset medical expenses.”
In addition to ticket purchases, the church also welcomes donations. Tickets may be purchased at the dinner Saturday afternoon or ahead of time by calling Deborah Cox (336) 526-3538 or Penny Freeland (336) 679-8277.
