The installation of the Yadkin Bank signs were observed in Elkin and surrounding communities. Yadkin Valley Bank will change to Yadkin Bank on May 28. The new signs will remain covered until the date, says a bank spokesperson.
Yadkin Valley Bank is changing its name to Yadkin Bank.
“We announced in conjunction with financial results a re-branding through our full bank footprint,” said Jill Sutphin, corporate communications spokesperson for Yadkin Valley Bank.
“Yadkin Valley Bank has four other community banks in North Carolina that have operated under their own names and have their own flag, but operate under the Yadkin Valley Bank umbrella. Now what we’re doing is re-branding all of those entities under Yadkin Bank bringing everything together,” said Sutphin.
When asked why the bank would drop “Valley” from its name, Sutphin said the bank had a process to determine the right approach.
“What we determined was that Yadkin was a familiar word for us and for our customers, but it’s a word that we can define. We get to put our values and our brand purpose behind that name,” she said.
The new signs are currently covered with the current bank name until May 28, the official unveiling of the new Yadkin Bank name.
