Rhythm on Main hosted the Yadkin Valley Chamber Member Luncheon on Monday.
Don Hudson and Will Shover, owners of Rhythm on Main Dance Academy, teamed with Soyworx owner Jimmy Thompson and Fiddles Pub to put on the gathering.
Dr. Randy Bledsoe, Yadkin Valley Chamber board chairman, started the luncheon with introduction to the host Will Shover. Shover thanked the crowd and informed fellow members about the dance academy services, future plans and of space rental availability for meetings.
Shover turned the floor over to Jimmy Thompson, owner of Soyworx. Thompson shared his story of starting up a small local business and delivered customer testimonies of his products.
Cicely McCulloch, owner of Diana’s Bookstore, then communicated to fellow chamber members what was going on next door with the renovations of ” The Liberty.”
McCulloch told of details regarding the opening of the new business, which will include a reception hall, conference center, wine/gift shop, restaurant and eventually a microbrewery.
With plans to open in February or March, there is much anticipation for the old Liberty Tobacco Warehouse/Cash and Carry building.
“Typically we like to have a chamber member luncheon quarterly, but we’ve not yet planned the next one,” said Chamber Tourism Manager Misty Matthews.
