Goody’s is returning to North Bridge Street this August.
The clothing store closed in Elkin after the Goody’s corporation filed for bankruptcy in 2008. Stage Stores, Inc. bought the Goody’s name after the store filed for bankruptcy, said Goody’s district Manager Don Stanley.
“We are looking forward to opening in Elkin,” Stanley said. “We have been working hard to get the lease signed.”
The store is accepting applications for sales associates, supervisors, store managers and assistant managers, he said.
“We will be holding open interviews at the Elkin Center from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 30,” Stanley said.
Goody’s grand opening on 1617 North Bridge St. will be on August 23.
