Mrs. Joyce Ann Jenkins, 56, of Elkin passed away Saturday, Aug. 04, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Jenkins was born April, 16, 1956 in Surry County to Glenn Richard and Peggy Groce Wilmoth.

Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Little Richmond Baptist Church and retired from Price Power Equipment and long time employee of former Elmore’s of Elkin. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include; Her husband, George Robert Jenkins, Jr. of the home, two daughters, Sarah Bartley and husband Dale of Elkin, Hallie Weaver of Florida, three brothers, Glenn Wilmoth of Elkin, Charles Wilmoth and wife Heather of California, Kevin Wilmoth of Elkin, a sister Jean Hall and husband Mike of State Road, six grandchildren, Brandon Pinnix, Aiden Bartley, Erin Johnson, Brice Anderson, C.J. Strickland, Rian Weaver, two step grandchildren, Ashana Bartley, Thomas Bartley. A special “daughter”, Jessica Edwards, special family friends, Jim “Z” Curtis, Robin Holbrook, Ginger Brown.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday Aug. 7, 2012, at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. J.V. Lowe. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice.
