Edna Cheek Martin, 84, of High Point passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at her home in High Point, NC. She was born in Yadkin County.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley (Chuck) and Florence Cheek; husband, David C. Martin; and sons, James, David, and Daniel.
She is survived by her children, Anne Turnage, Debbie Edwards, and Jonathan Martin; grandchildren, David Turnage, Edda Martin, Tessa Branson, Erin Branson, Jessica Coffill, and Ryan Martin; great grandchildren, Daniel, David, Greyson, Bailee, and Emma; siblings, Nancy, Betty, Shirley Ann, Tommye, Gayle, Larry, Judy, Phyllis, and Seth.
Edna was an active church member and served as Deacon at Konnoak Baptist Church. She was well loved by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Jonesville First Baptist Church, Jonesville, NC at 2pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012 with a reception to follow.
