• 2:30 p.m. The Red Strings, or Heroes of America will be presented by Phyllis R. Hoots of Forsyth County. This is a history of a secret Unionist Organization formed during the Civil War. The event will be held at Yadkin County Senior Center, 204 East Hemlock Street, Yadkinville. The Red Strings were active in Quaker-Moravian Belt of Piedmont North Carolina. Membership included men who did not want the South to secede from the United States. Their tactics helped end the Civil War.
