The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Garrett Matthew Blevins, 20, of Yadkinville on Aug. 20, 2012, on charges of felony of obtaining property by false pretense, larceny of chose in action and uttering forged endorsement.
Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office advise that Blevins stole a check from a family member and forged the name of the same family member.
Blevins then proceeded to cash the check at a local business located in Yadkin County.
Blevins was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
