To the Editor,
People in our community (and all over the world) partner with Habitat for Humanity to build a place they can call home. These Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With the help of our community, they achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
Saturday, April 16, hundreds of runners, walkers and volunteers came out to support Habitat homebuilding in the Tri-County at the sixth annual Habitat HAMMER Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk. Thank you to them and the sponsors and friends who made it possible:
