There will be a business meeting at Garden Creek Baptist Church on Saturday at 4 p.m. Anyone interested in this historic church is invited to the meeting.

Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church will have a special singing on Sunday at 7 p.m. Featured singers will be James Yarboro and Presley Barker.

The Traphill Branch Library will be closed Wednesday for Veterans Day. It will also be closed Nov. 26 and Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving.

The Friends of Traphill Branch Library will have a meeting on Saturday at 2 p.m. Everyone interested in the library is invited to this meeting.

The Friends of Traphill Branch Library still have a used book sale set up at the Traphill Tan & Tone on Traphill Road from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Stop by and check out some really great books.

New books available to check out at the Traphill Branch Library include “The Christmas Cradle” by Charlotte Hubbard and “The Amish Heart of Ice Mountain” by Kelly Long.

Get well wishes go to Brandi Edwards, who is beginning to get better now.

Condolences go to the family of Wilma Norman, who died on Nov. 6. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Happy anniversary wishes go to April and Jackie Pruitt Jr., who celebrate their sixth anniversary on Nov. 11; Hardin and Becky Kennedy, who celebrate their 16th anniversary on Nov. 13; Margaret and Zeb Johnson, who celebrate their anniversary on Nov. 13; and Linville and Debbie Absher, who celebrate their 30th anniversary on Nov. 15.

Traphill had a low temperature of 47.8 degrees on Nov. 8 and a high temperature of 73.9 degrees on Nov. 6. There were 2 inches of rain in Traphill during the week of Nov. 2-8.
