Elkin High School boys JV basketball team take a knee and remain still for a game delay on Friday night caused by a spectator who first responders say suffered from a seizure. The clock stopped for approximately 30 minutes with 4:43 remaining in the second quarter. The gym was silent during the incident. North Wilkes High School and Elkin High School spectators gave the ill spectator a thunderous ovation as he departed the gym. Elkin varsity coach Ken Abrams said the ill spectator is a boys basketball coach for Elkin Middle School. No further information was available.
