The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering on March 11 from a resident who lives in Wilkes County but owns property on Messick Road in Jonesville. The victim had reported that property was taken and listed on Craigslist.

“After further investigation, detectives from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office discovered that Michael Hardy and Chrysti Gauger allegedly made entry and took the items,” said the release.

All of the property was located and returned to the victim. Both Hardy and Gauger received a $2,500 unsecured bond.
