Readers recognized at EES


A visit from an ice cream truck was the reward for some hard-working Elkin Elementary School students who completed a summer reading challenge. Twenty-one students read stories and answered comprehension questions to reap the reward. Teachers placed medals around their necks and then students ate ice cream as the truck serenaded them.
