A class focusing on Outdoor and Wedding Photography will be offered April 19 through May 10 at The Pilot Center, 612 E. Main St., Pilot Mountain.

During this hands-on class, students will be introduced to the basic core techniques and skills for wedding photography. The class will visit local sites of a church, a venue for weddings and outdoor locations. The class will have models to work with at these locations — all as weather permits. A prerequisite is a DSLR Cameras Class or working knowledge of DSLR manual settings. The classes will meet on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Advanced registration and payment of $49 are required.

A Beginner Sewing Class will be starting April 26 and running through May 24 at The Pilot Center, 612 E. Main St., Pilot Mountain.

Students will work on a simple project of their choice. The instructor will guide the class through the process of how to use a sewing machine, read and use a pattern, recognize straight and cross grains in fabric, properly cut and mark fabric, use various helpful sewing tools, identify and use interfacings, and properly press as you sew. The classes will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. Advanced registration and payment of $79 are required.
