Elkin Elementary School students attended a Wake Forest Women’s basketball game Jan. 28 to “Eat with the Deacs.” Students were selected through their entries for the school system’s Red Ribbon Week essay contest as well as the sixth-grade student leaders. The students ate dinner with WFU student athletes, (field hockey, track, and soccer) while watching the game.
