Surry nurse aide students celebrate completion of class


DOBSON — Eighteen Surry Community College Nurse Aide II (CNA) students have completed their classes.

Ten students completed a class taught by Mary Holt, RN in Dobson that ended on Dec. 3. including Jessica Bolick, Juan Escutia, Jessica Ratcliff, Ladene Haymore and Alisha Winesett of Mount Airy; Judy De la Cruz, and Emma Wagoner of Yadkinville; Lynn Spicer of Elkin; and Zoe Eubanks of Dobson.

Eight students completed a class taught by Pansy White in Dobson on that ended on Dec. 14. including Gabriela Corona, Heather Wagoner and Noel Wood of East Bend; Dani Griffith and Summer Ward of Mount Airy; NyAmber Grizzel of Siloam; Samantha Jones of Lowgap; and Jennifer Barringer of Yadkinville.

The Nurse Aide Level II (CNA II) course prepares students to perform more complex skills for patients or residents. Students may seek employment in a variety of healthcare settings. Upon successful completion of the CNA II course and the certification exam, the student will be listed on the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
