RONDA — The Clingman Medical Center Board members announced the fifth annual scholarship opportunity for a local student/applicant showing an interest in the medical field.
The members’ desire is to offer this scholarship to a deserving candidate who has demonstrated his or her desire to pursue an education and/or training in a medical-related field. The ideal candidate would already have shown a vested interest by studying toward and/or working in some medical-related field.
The board is interested in a candidate who has shown a high moral and scholastic aptitude; one who has shown by experiences an interest in helping his or her community and fellow man.
Deadline for this year’s application is March 15. Applications are available at all local high schools, community colleges, the Clingman Medical Center in Ronda and online at clingmanmedicalcenter.com.
The Clingman Medical Center is in the Clingman community, centrally located to assist patients from Wilkes, Yadkin and Surry counties. The center is an associate of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, and employs two doctors with decades of experience to provide the greatest care to their patients.
