DOBSON — Seven Surry Community College Nurse Aide I (CNA) students have completed their class taught by Michelle Roberts, RN at The Elkin Center on Dec. 7.
The Nurse Aide Level I (CNA) course prepares students to provide personal care and perform basic nursing skills for the elderly and other adults. Students may seek employment in a variety of healthcare settings. Upon successful completion of the CNA I course and the certification exam, the student will be listed on the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation Nurse Aide I Registry.
Registration is open for all students for classes starting Jan. 13. New students must register in person by coming to Room 120 in the J-Building (Corporate and Continuing Education Office on SCC Dobson campus). Current or returning students may register online by going to www.surry.edu. Advanced registration and payment of $183 plus $53 for urine drug screening and criminal background check and $16 for malpractice insurance are required. Virginia students will have an additional $10 fee for this service. Fees are subject to change.
